What is the Clear Aligner Tray Treatment Process?
1. Consultation
If you’re interested in straightening your teeth with clear aligner trays, we first have to determine if it is right for you. Our Clear Aligner Trays are versatile treatment system, but it doesn’t work for all orthodontic issues. At your consultation, we will take x-rays, photographs and digital impressions of your teeth. We will use these records to determine if our Clear Aligner Trays are the right option for you.
2. Development Of Your Treatment Plan
Once we’ve consulted with our partner orthodontist and have determined that our Clear Aligner Trays are a good option for you, we will construct a treatment plan including the estimated treatment time and cost for your treatment.
3. Wearing Your Aligner Trays
We will reach out to you when your aligners are ready and make you an appointment to pick them up and learn how to properly wear and maintain them. As your treatment progresses, each new aligner will bring your teeth into straighter and straighter positions. You can take out an aligner to eat or brush, but otherwise, you should basically always be wearing your instructed aligner during the treatment process. If you don’t, your teeth movements won’t progress according to plan, and as you put in new aligners, they won’t fit correctly.
4. Guidance During The Process
We will have regularly scheduled appointments with you to track the movement and positioning of your teeth and to deliver your next set of aligner trays.
5. Maintain Your Smile
You will need to wear retainers after treatment is complete to help keep your teeth in alignment. These retainers are recommended to be worn regularly for the first several months, and then as directed. The retainers can be clear trays or fixed wire that are bonded on the inside of your teeth. Retention is essential and is one of the most important aspects of this treatment.
